MECHANICAL TESTS ON BONDING
MECHANICAL TESTS ON BONDING
Bonding is a joining process where an adhesive is used to join two adherents together.
The joint allows the transfer of load between the bonded parts.
Mechanical tests on glued joints allow to verify if the requirements of project.
The tests can be used in the phase of choosing the adhesive, choosing the method of surface preparation or for verifying compatibility with the adherents.
The verification of the joint can be performed in conditions of maximum/minimum service temperature or after specific ageing.
